Mary Catherine (Kay) Gorecki Roake Tuxhorn was my only sibling, she was my Big Sister, she called me Sis. I will miss her calls from her retirement home of Arkansas, saying "Hey You".... My sister was full of life, joyful and at times she could be timid. She wasn't one to argue or make waves she wanted to keep the peace. Everyone who knew her had heard her infectious laugh. Especially after a glass of white wine. She loved her routinely scheduled days and nights. Her only daughter Gail Renee Roake and her husband Jose of San Diego California and twin girls Heather and Jennifer were a few of the people that Mary was sure to visit and welcome to her retirement home. She leaves behind the man in her life of many years Ron Siska, her many life long girlfriends from St Charles Illinois as well as my children Kelly Kannan (Patrick) of Wilmington NC, their son Noah, Phil Krahenbuhl and his children Ben and Elle of St Charles Illinois and my youngest daughter Alissa Krahenbuhl and her son Jacob Carlson. Two cousins Dave Gorecki of Aurora IL and his sister Carol Dooley of Carbondale Illinois. She was preceded in death by both our parents Eugene and Dorothy nee Schmal. My husband John Krahenbuhl is helping the whole family be strong and keep the light of Mary's life alive. Her life and the life she lived and shared will not be forgotten. Rest in peace. Sister's FOREVER

I knew Mary only for a short time. I met her at the fitness center. She had a sweet spirit about her, always friendly and soft spoken. I’ll miss her.
