    Walter C. Rasmussen, 89, of Hot Springs Village passed away October 21, 2014 at a local hospital. Walter was born April 5, 1925 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to George and Anna Rasmussen.

    Walter served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW, and The American Legion. He had a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and worked for the Illinois State Highway of Transportation.

    Walter is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Phyllis and 8 siblings. He is survived by his two sons, Robert Rasmussen of HSV and Garry (Mary) Rasmussen of Oreland, PA; two grandchildren and one sister Sally Rasmussen
